Garth Jenning’s Gets Animated

Garth Jennings

Garth Jennings, the director behind The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and the FSR favorite Son of Rambow has announced that his next project will be animated. Details are currently under wraps, but in an interview Jennings revealed that they will pursue animation, though they haven’t decided on whether it will be CG, cell, or one of the various other types.

In what is a smart and logical move, and thus very un-Hollywood, Jennings said they’re spending a lot of time nailing down the story and getting it right before they move into production or start talking about it a lot. Brilliant! The only downside to this technique is we, the audience, have absolutely no idea what is coming, but I’m sure as the project moves along he’ll throw us a bone and we’ll know what this is all about.

Son of Rambow hits theaters on May 2nd.
