Waynes World

Earlier today, a rumor flooded the internet saying that Mike Myers had completed a script for Wayne’s World 3 that would see the headbanging duo fighting back against bad modern music and trying to navigate the likes of YouTube. Ethan Anderton at First Showing was the first to call foul on the report — which originated in an email citing a fake Entertainment Weekly story — but now we can confirm that the story isn’t true, and that Myers isn’t even working on a script for a Wayne’s World sequel.

I spoke directly with his representative, who responded to the rumor by saying, “This is completely false. There is no script and he is not working on one.”

So there you have it. Tough news for everyone that wanted this to happen, but unsurprising nonetheless. We’ll have to get our Pizza Hut product placement another way.
