The Losers

In 2010’s sea of comic book adaptations — including the likes of the big (Iron Man 2) and the fast-moving underdog (Kick-Ass) — one property seems to be getting lost in the shuffle. The adaptation of Andy Diggles series The Losers. It tells the story of a group of CIA operatives who are left for dead by the very agency to which they’ve dedicated their lives as killers. Now they must fight back to root out the source of evil that tried to have them killed. It’s a classic revenge story, with a great deal of humor and sex-appeal. And by sex appeal, I’m of course talking about Zoe Saldana. In this one, she’s not CG-animated or blue — she’s red hot. She can search and destroy my heart, that’s for sure.

Puns aside, Warner Bros. has released a new series of character banners for the film in conjunction with the posting of set visit reports on many sites across the web. We were going to bring you our own set visit report, but it our trip was a bust. We went all the way down to Puerto Rico, only to be turned away at the gate. Apparently there’s some sort of “restraining order” put out against us by Jason Patric. Dude, we seriously liked Speed 2

Alas, here are the character banners. Click them and make them large. The Losers, directed by Sylvain White, is in theaters April 23, 2010.
