She’s Out of My League object of affection Alice Eve is in talks with Fox to play Emma Frost in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class, a project that is ramping up casting with the quickness. Several weeks back, rumors emerged that Fox and Vaughn were looking at Rosamund Pike for the role of young Emma, but at the time even we thought it out of place. Pike is lovely, but she was a bit out of the age range for this young mutant saga. Eve is right in the sweet spot, if you know what I mean.
The news comes from Deadline, who are also quick to remind that Pike has also been linked to the role of Moira McTaggert, a character for which she’s better suited. Over the weekend, Michael Fassbender was confirmed as accepting the role of Magneto to play opposite Professor X, who will be played by James McAvoy. Fassbender allegedly passed on a major role in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot to step into the world of mutants. Probably not a bad choice. Both projects have merit, but as development continues, this X-Men film is started to look like a talent-heavy sure thing.
Wouldn’t you agree?
