The Vintage Trailer of the Day Comes To Visit You In Peace And With Goodwill

Everyday, come rain or shine or internet tubes breaking, Film School Rejects showcases a trailer from the past.

Today’s trailer is a warning from 1951 about the future of our nuclear greed. It also corresponds with the holidays perfectly because it comes in peace.

It starts with darkness and the special broadcast giving you the latest information on the arrival of a spaceship in Washington, DC. Heed its warning, or the entire planet might be reduced to ash.

Plus, Look! Magazine calls it the “Best of the Science Fiction Movies!” That’s a rousing endorsement if there ever was one.

Think you know what it is? Check out the trailer after the jump.
