Short Film: The Fantastic ‘Beyond’ Beautifully Fractures Space and Time

Beyond Short Film

Why Watch? Joining the slew of excellent, indie, sci-fi short films, Beyond brings us a woman who can survive teleportation. Naturally she has a lust for finding life beyond our own. More than anything, she’s looking for answers.

It goes above and, you know, with stunning visions of distant worlds, but it also excels in delivering an intense (if surface-level) performance from Bianca Malinowski that would thrive even more without the voice over narration. It’s a broody adventure that’s unafraid to put its heroine into isolated danger — a thrilling glimpse at something that should become a TV series or feature-length film. Director Raphael Rogers is undoubtedly a talent to watch.

What Will It Cost? About 3 minutes.
