Short Film: ‘Subway’ is an Explosively Funny No-Budget Story

Why Watch? Blending his stand-up comic story with a dramatization of the event, this short from Omid Singh starts out clever before exploding with a laugh out loud punchline.

The story is simple, he tells it perfectly, and he took the time to deliver high quality camera work and editing to boot. All Singh wants to do is make it onto a subway train as the doors are closing, but the only tool at his disposal is his gym bag. You may be able to do the math in your head, but his delivery (and the greater implications) are more than worth the journey here.

Plus, it just won the Audience Choice Award at this year’s No Budget Film Festival (which we’re incredibly proud to support). It’s easy to see why.
