Short Film: Robert Rodriguez’s Ice Creamsploitation Flick ‘Two Scoops’

Two Scoops

Why Watch? With the help of his fans, Robert Rodriguez has created a short film that’s a giant ice cream cone filled with cheese.

Lola and Lucia (Electra and Elise Avellan) aren’t from around here, but they run a dessert truck in a spot every Austinite should recognize. They also do super secret work, and their next assignment gets personal as they have to track down a monster inside an abandoned amusement park to save their father.

Colorful and ridiculous, it looks a lot like Spy Kids right down to the low-budget CGI and jokes. Somewhere, Roger Corman is smiling.

What Will It Cost? Just about 11 minutes.
