Short Film: ‘Paper City’ Builds an Entire Metropolis Out Of Your Recycle Bin

Paper City Short Film

Why Watch? Simple, sweet and pulpy, this short from animator Maciek Janicki takes us on a ride as a crumpled set of buildings and parkscapes pops up from the ground.

There’s nothing much to it when it comes to story (although the implications for the end are far-reaching if you take it too seriously), but the triumph here is in sweepingly smooth camera work that shows off a labor of rendered love. A perfect snack-sized bite.

What Will It Cost? About 1 minute.
