Mute Short Film Job Jorbis Marieke

Why Watch? Violently comic or comically violent? Whatever the right answer, this fantastic short from Job, Joris and Marieke introduces us to a quaint, weebles-style animated world filled with people who were born without mouths. For some reason society has still evolved to include a lot of mouth-based items (what cruel maniac manufactures baby pacifiers in this madhouse?), but when an accident with a sharp knife opens their eyes to creating their own voice-slits, the resulting bloody carnage sets everyone to singing.

The perfect Friday distraction, it’s a beautiful celebration of something truly, truly bizarre. Think “The Book of Bunny Suicides” in humanoid, musical form.
