Short Film: Holy Hell, It’s ‘The Most Insane Amusement Park Ever’

Action Park Loop Slide

Why Watch? I’m not from New Jersey, and maybe for the first time in my life, I’m sad about that. Why? Because growing up I had a relatively safe yet thrilling water park to visit each summer (Schlitterbahn fans represent) that didn’t tear off my skin or break my bones or spilled blood while attempting to defy simple physics (see above).

Meanwhile, it looks like Action Park was the kind of aquatic sliding experience that stuck all of its middle fingers into the air at OSHA and the IAAPA (which is a real acronym). A true rite of passage for everyone who had the guts and the health insurance to cover them.

Now, this short documentary over at Mashable (via Movies.com where Erik Davis adds his own fond memories) shines a hilarious spotlight on what might be the most negligent, terrifying, wonderful place for children to spend a vacation or errant weekend.

What Will It Cost? About 7 minutes.
