Short Film of the Day: Eye of the Storm

Why Watch? Is it a music video or a short film? Can they be the same thing?

The first time I saw this short, I had no idea whether it was supposed to be a video for the band’s song, or if the band was featured heavily for scoring the short. That, to me, is a good sign. The other good sign is that the film looks like Sin City crashed a 1958 Buick Special into Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and forgot to trade insurance cards.

The story is engaging in a lonely way, and the score is mellow and trippy. So, maybe it’s a bit of both. Pure short and pure music video. Ain’t nothing wrong with that as long as it’s good. And it’s definitely good.

What Will It Cost? Just 5 minutes of your time.

Does it get better any better than that?
