Why Watch? Proof that low-budget horror can be done well, Animal uses some solid practical effects and an interesting premise to come out with something literally gut-wrenching.

And maybe gut-swallowing.

A businessman is on his way home, taking one of those damned shortcuts mom warned him about, when he’s confronted by two thugs who don’t want him in their space. That’s when things really get hairy.
